A highly involved student and leadership volunteer dedicated to strengthening Sagehen ties across the alumni community, Siegel was honored along with fellow award recipients at Alumni Weekend this past spring.
Jon Siegel was all in at 鶹ý from day one. Over the last four decades, his innumerable contributions to strengthening alumni engagement have set the standard for volunteer leadership.
“I am humbled to receive the Distinguished Service Award. Pomona gave me so much during my four years as a student that it was impossible for me not to give back to the College in any way possible. I’ve met so many incredible Sagehens over the years that it’s difficult to comprehend that I am receiving this honor,” Siegel said.
Siegel was an active and involved student. He played soccer for four years, served on the inaugural Dorm President’s Council, was a proud member of the Phi Delta Fraternity, and covered women’s basketball for The Student Life and more.
After graduating from Pomona, Jon received his MBA from UCLA. Post MBA, he worked in the entertainment industry at Paramount, Disney and PBS. He then transitioned from entertainment to technology, which returned him to his hometown of Chicago. Siegel is currently the COO of a Chicago-based wholesale food distribution company.
Siegel served on numerous class reunion committees, the Alumni Council from 1997-2000 and the Alumni Association Board from 2015-2020 (President 2019- 2020). He continues to serve on the Past President’s Council, as an Alumni Admission Volunteer and as leader of the Chicago Regional Chapter.
Siegel celebrated his 40th reunion along with classmates at Alumni Weekend 2024.
