Grace Sartin ’21
I chose my major because it’s the perfect combination of left brain and right brain. I get to be creative and view art but also get to think critically about culture, politics and art movements in various points in time.
I really love the variety of subjects I can study from art of the British Empire to Asian art to art about the Mexican Border. I also enjoy that our major is very collaborative with Scripps and Pitzer.
Through our Art History Department, I received the Rembrandt grant which allowed me to go on an archeological dig in Italy my sophomore summer. I learned so much about Ancient Rome and was able to apply my knowledge to other courses enriching my Pomona experience.
