3/9 Exporting Qualtrics Surveys into SPSS (Workshop)

Time: 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Location: Lincoln Hall #2116 at Â鶹´«Ã½

About: Dr. Nashla Feres will be teaching a workshop on how to set proper parameters before exporting a Qualtrics data file into SPSS, in addition to completing data cleaning procedures necessary in SPSS before performing data analyses. As this is a hands-on workshop in the computer lab, seats are limited (24).

*Please note than non-Pomona students MUST create a guest user account with Â鶹´«Ã½ ITS in order to use the lab computers. You will not be able to access SPSS from your personal laptop.

About: Dr. Sumner is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychology at UCLA. Her program of research lies at the intersection of the psychological and physical health consequences of trauma exposure. Her talk is titled "Unbreak my Heart: Can we Promote Cardiovascular Health after Trauma?".

About: Explore humor and practice comedy with neuroscientist and stand-up comedian, Ori Amir. Learn the psychology and neuroscience behind telling a side-splitting joke!

About: Vinny got her MA at Johns Hopkins in International Finance and Southeast Asia Studies and is now Senior Investment Officer at International Finance Corporation (part of World Bank Group) and involved in impact investing in emerging markets. About: Dr. Nashla Feres will be teaching a workshop which will cover the basics of SPSS. This workshop is intended for those who have never used the statistical software. As this is a hands-on workshop in the computer lab, seats are limited (26). 3/8 Symposium on Neuroeconomics

Time: 3:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Location: Argue Auditorium in the Millikan Building at Â鶹´«Ã½.

About: Neuroeconomics is an interdisciplinary field which uses neuroscience and psychology to understanding economic decision-making. The program will include a Q&A session as well as an intermission with a variety of refreshments.
