The Grounds department maintains 140 acres of campus. Thirty acres consist of natural non-irrigated native landscape (The Wash) dominated by native oak trees. The remaining 110 acres consists of specimens, shrubbery, groundcover, and turf. The historical landscape of Â鶹´«Ã½ has long contributed to the "college in a garden". Grounds maintains athletic facilities, such as the tennis courts, soccer, softball and baseball fields, swimming pools, and hammer throw. Additionally, in keeping with the College's sustainability, the campus irrigation is managed through an automated central control system. The irrigation requirements of the campus are monitored and updated with information from an on-campus weather station.
