Fifteen recent Â鶹´«Ã½ graduates have received Fulbright grants for the 2023-2024 award cycle. 

For 20 years, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Academy for Youth Success has helped students in Greater Los Angeles get ready for college through an intensive, three-summer residential program on campus. Students have gone on to attend the nation’s top colleges.

Â鶹´«Ã½ alumni Linda Alvarado ’73, Michelle Williams Court ’88 and Peter Shelton ’73 are the recipients of the 2023 Blaisdell Distinguished Alumni Award. Ann Rose Davie ’58 is the 2023 Alumni Distinguished Service Award recipient.

The Smart Start Career Fellows Program provides career development opportunities for Pomona sophomores who identify as first-generation and/or low-income. A three-day career trek in January gives them an inside look at a variety of workplaces.

Through the Women in Security program, now in its second year, students at Â鶹´«Ã½ can learn firsthand about the experiences of women who are in the midst of advancing their careers in security-related fields.

Civil rights pioneer Myrlie Evers-Williams ’68 has donated her archival collection to her alma mater Â鶹´«Ã½ to inspire future generations of leaders and activists.
